Steve Lygo
Steve is a Director of Parmentier Arthur Group Limited and its subsidiary companies. Steve joined Parmentier Arthur in January 1998 from what was then the Inland Revenue's Shares Valuation Division. As part of the small special cases appeals team he worked on problem cases, typically in situations where negotiations between the taxpayer and the Revenue had reached an impasse and a Special Commissioner's appeal hearing was a possibility.

Since Joining Parmentier Arthur, Steve has continued to specialise in the valuation of private company shares and unincorporated businesses for tax and employee share scheme purposes. Having worked on both sides of the tax valuation divide, Steve has extensive experience of negotiating share values in a Revenue context. Outside the tax arena, Steve's work is mainly focused on advising on value for share sales and valuation matters arising out of litigation. Steve has acted as expert witness on valuation in a wide range of potential and actual litigation situations and has provided evidence in court in connection with family law proceedings, shareholder disputes, professional negligence claims and breach of warranty claims. He is listed in the Law Society's Directory of Expert Witnesses as an expert in the valuation of private company shares and businesses.

Daron Gunson
Daron is a member of the Faculty of Taxation and a Fellow of the Institute of Taxation. After qualifying as an accountant, Daron decided to specialise in tax, initially joining Binder Hamlyn before moving to Ernst & Young. Daron joined Barclays Bank Group in 1978 where as Deputy Head (UK Tax) he specialised in property tax matters, group tax problems and Schedule E/benefits in kind.

Daron's work with Parmentier Arthur focuses on advising clients on company reorganisations, share buy backs, utilising capital gains reliefs and capital allowances planning. Daron has contributed many articles to magazines including Tax Journal and Taxation Practitioner and lectures widely on corporate and personal taxation matters. Daron is Chairman of the Stonecutter Tax Discussion Group of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and Editor of Squires: Tax Planning for Group of Companies.
