Parmentier Arthur is pleased to announce that Stuart Gilham has re-joined as a senior valuation consultant following five years with EY in London.
Stuart initially joined Parmentier Arthur in 2008 from Deloitte, where he specialised in personal tax before joining the employment taxes team where he advised private companies on the implementation of employee share schemes, undertaking the associated share valuations for UK tax purposes.
Stuart joined EY as a Senior Executive (Manager) from Parmentier Arthur in 2014 and, despite being part of the Valuation, Modelling and Economics (“VME”) team, quickly established himself as a key part of the Transaction Tax (“TT”) offering. Primarily working with the Management Taxes team within TT he worked with a number of Private Equity houses on live transactions, valuing shares awarded as part of Management Incentive arrangements for UK tax purposes. In early 2016 Stuart was promoted to Assistant Director (Senior Manager) and helped build the tax valuation business within the VME team. During his time at EY Stuart undertook a large number of valuations of shares, businesses, earn outs, deferred consideration, intellectual property and carried interests for income tax, capital gains tax and Inheritance Tax Purposes.
Steve Lygo, Managing Director of Parmentier Arthur, commented on the appointment:
“We are delighted to welcome Stuart back to Parmentier Arthur after five years away. I know he has learned much during his time in the Big 4, and am sure his skillset and experience will be of considerable benefit to us going forward.”
Stuart Gilham commented:
“It’s great to return to Parmentier Arthur and bring with me the experience and knowledge gained from five years at EY. Parmentier Arthur has built a strong reputation over the last 40 years and this is the perfect home for the next stage of my career. I look forward to working with clients (old and new) and helping Parmentier Arthur to continue to grow”.
